11# Mikko KytöläAn anonymous peer review: ”A paradigmatic synthesis of creativity and discipline, the team captain leads the line by setting a high standard. Suffers from a chronic stomach pain due to his exceptional hunger for success.” Date of birth: 20.7.1984 Status: A player, the captain. Weight/height: 83kg/182 cm Clubs: KaDy (2004- ), SuPa (2000-2002) Major subject: Philosophy (University of Jyväskylä). KaDy-name(s): Komik, K0m1k (pronounced as:‘binary code Komik’). Strengths as a futsal player? “Being able to transform weaknesses into advantages.” Interests outside futsal court? “Football, gym, table tennis, beach volley, Lacanian psychoanalysis, political philosophy, ‘acquaintance with letters’ (i.e. literature), chess and other libidinally charged things.” “Belgi” Pelkonen asked you the following question related to the forthcoming Finnish Futsal-League season: “What do you think, will the scheduled move of Dynamo's home venue from the modest Huhtaharju School to the spacious Monitoimitalo (the Multipurpose Sports Hall) be an advancement not only from the point of view of the spectators and facilities, but also for KaDy's competitive success? Or will the larger home field turn out yet another challenge for the team, which only recently acquired an effective defensive strategy tailored for the compact and dusty parquet of Huhtaharju?” “Undoubtedly, we will lose something as a result of leaving the sympathetic Huhtaharju behind us, but I don’t think the move to the new home venue will, competitively speaking, pose us too many problems. We are sure to adjust to Monnari’s demands. The loss is, rather, linked with the formation and preservation of KaDy identity. Ave dusty Huhtaharju!” What have you always wanted to know about a KaDy player but have been too afraid to ask him? “Mikko ‘the robber’ Takala being a single, I’ve been dying to ask him this: were you to fall in love with a Croatian girl, do you think the relationship could work in the long run considering the distance? After all, it’s 2300 kilometres from Jyväskylä to Zagreb.”
